Veterans Report

Veteran GI BIll Payment Rates
Your GI Bill monthly payment rate is determined by two factors: your student status (full time, half time, or part time) and your duty status. Your school determines your student status. In most cases you would be considered a full time student if you are taking 12 or more credits per semester. Click here to see a full breakdown of Veteran Benefit Payment Rates.

A Home of Their Own
Since it began in 1944, VA's loan guaranty program has helped some 18 million veterans achieve the American dream of homeownership. The Veterans Benefit Act of 2004 changed the maximum guaranty amount for certain loans in excess of $144,000 to an amount equal to 25 percent of the Freddie Mac conforming loan limit for a single family residence. This means that the maximum no-down-payment loan that a veteran can obtain will always be the same as the conventional conforming limit. program also administers the specially adapted housing program, which provides grants to veterans who have certain service-connected disabilities. For more information, visit the VA Home Loan Guaranty Services Webpage.
Special Outreach
The Special Outreach website provides additional information as required by the United States Congress to all veterans who live in the states of Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, and Ohio where the average amount of VA disability compensation paid is lower than in other states. This information is important to all veterans no matter where they live. VA wants to be sure all veterans are aware of the VA disability benefits that are available and know how to apply for them. For more information, visit the VA's Special Outreach to Veterans Website.

Iran ready for 'serious' nuke talks

Iran said yesterday that it was ready for "serious negotiations" over its disputed nuclear programs, but showed no sign it accepted the Bush administration's bottom-line demand to halt all uranium enrichment before any talks can begin. Washinton Times

Iran Response Designed to Fool the Left
Designed to fool the gullable. The gullable, the American Democrats, the Democrat Party, the American left, the world left, and the diplomatic community, with the hope being that in the year 2008, a Democrat president exists in this country, and they then will be relatively confident that nobody will stop them. But they just can't trust Bush, and I guarantee you, they are afraid of him. He has created doubt and fear and uncertainty in their minds. They don't want to be bombed, I don't care what anybody says, they don't want to be hit. They're rattling all these war drums and rattling their sabers, but they don't want to be bombed, and they can't be sure that Bush won't do it. They have much more faith that will never happen with a Democrat in the White House, and that's what this response today is all about, nothing more complicated than that. Rush Audio

This is posted on Limbaugh's web site, however, after today the transcript will only be available to his 24/7 subscribers.

Internet Attracts Con Artists
The Justice Department reports that scam artists use e-mail, chat rooms, message boards or Websites to present fraudulent proposals to prospective victims, conduct fraudulent transactions and transfer the proceeds to financial institutions or others connected with the crime. With the explosive growth of online commerce, criminals try to present fraudulent schemes in ways that look virtually identical to the goods and services offered by legitimate online merchants. Navy Launches Low Bandwidth Website
The Navy Exchange Service Command's (NEXCOM) Uniform Support Center has launched a low bandwidth Website in the summer for uniform purchases. The new website should download for viewing much quicker for dial-up or low-speed Internet connections, as may be the case aboard ships and overseas stations. To access the low bandwidth Website for uniform purchases, visit http://www.navy-nex.com/ and click the "Order Uniforms Online" tab. This leads to a screen showing two options: one for high speed and the other for low speed Internet connections. For plain text, choose the latter. Once the authorized sponsor's information is entered, the low bandwidth website will appear.

New Website Lists Servicemembers' Rights
The Department of Justice has launched a website to protect servicemembers' rights. The website at http://www.servicemembers.gov/ outlines the rights servicemembers have under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. U.S. Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzalez urges any servicemember with questions to go to the Justice Department Website. Military lawyers can help servicemembers and their families navigate through the laws.

The UN IS UNDERMINING ISRAEL & THE UNITED STATES

Received via email from Move America Forward.
You have surely heard about the UN-imposed ceasefire that was drafted to end the military campaign by Israel against the terrorist group, Hezbollah, and it's base of operations in South Lebanon.

What you may not realize is that the United Nations has a horrific track record over the past 25 years in siding with terrorist organizations over the United States and Israel.

UN personnel and equipment have repeatedly been used to support the terrorists. In a shocking video clip, United Nations' ambulances are used to transport Palestinian terrorists who are engaged in a firefight with Israeli military personnel.

This is a MUST SEE video - look at the clear UN markings, including the UN's flag flying atop the ambulance: Watch the Video HERE.

In this video clip, Palestinian terrorists use an ambulance to smuggle suicide bombs into Israel, with the intent of killing and injuring innocent Israeli citizens in restaurants and stores.

Or you can watch this video clip, where terrorists use a UN ambulance to transport rockets to be used against Israel. Keep watching till the end when they load the ambulance up and drive away.

Israel Attacks, Rejects Lebanese and UN Claims

PM Olmert's office staffer says Israel's raid in Lebanon yesterday was not a violation of the ceasefire, but rather the required response to Hizbullah's ongoing violations of the ceasefire.

"The operation was necessary," the official in the Prime Minister's Office, said, "because Hizbullah is violating the ceasefire by smuggling in war materiel from Syria and Iran. It was a necessary operation, and it is good that we did it." Israel National News
