Democrats who would censure and impeach the President for fighting the terrorists.

On September 11, the President made a solemn commitment to protect the American people. The President made his choice. And many Democrats are making theirs, calling a program to defeat al Qaeda terrorists inside the U.S. an illegal and an "impeachable offense."

Where do you stand? Watch the video. And take action by signing our petition against repeated Democrat attempts to weaken these efforts to fight the terrorists and keep American families safe.

Iraq Veterans Proud to Serve, Eager to Deploy Again

Unmanned Predator Kills Three Terrorists; Relative Turns in Suspect
March 29, 2006 – An MQ-1B Predator unmanned aerial vehicle engaged three insurgents in the process of planting a homemade bomb along a road near Balad Air Base, Iraq, yesterday evening and launched an AGM-114 Hellfire missile against the group.
The Predator monitored the three terrorists for about a half hour while they used a pick ax to dig a hole in the road, placed an explosive round in the hole, and strung wires from the hole to a ditch on the side of the road. When it was clear the individuals were placing a bomb, the Predator launched the 100-pound Hellfire missile, killing all three insurgents.

"This is a prime example of how airpower is supporting the fight on the ground," Air Force Brig. Gen. Frank Gorenc, commander of the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Balad, said. "We're able to provide a persistent view of the battlefield to commanders on the ground and, if called upon, put a weapon on a target within minutes."

Iraq Veterans Proud to Serve, Eager to Deploy Again
March 30, 2006 – With the war on terror in its fifth year, U. S. military personnel continue to pack duffle bags and don desert camouflage uniforms -- many not for the first time.
"I am proud of what I accomplished during my tour in Iraq and would be proud to return, on sea or on land," Navy Lt. Cmdr. David Bitler, a surface warfare officer, said. Bitler is assigned to the USS Tarawa, which returned from a Middle East cruise in February.

"Most of all, I'd be honored to work again alongside the Iraqi people, whose bravery and courage in the face of continual barbarism and anarchy is our best hope for long-term success and, I believe, our survival," Bitler said. original version

Democrats Outline 'Real Security' Plan

Democrat leaders will gather in Washington today, for what they describe as a "major event" -- the unveiling of their "comprehensive" plan to protect America.

Here they go again. Trying to convince the American people they care about national security. All Democrats care about is Democrats.

They call the plan "Real Security." But some Republicans call it an election-year ploy.

"Sound familiar? It should," said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) Writing for the National Review Online Wednesday, Cornyn said the Democrats are outlining policy items that the Bush administration and Republican Congress have implemented -- or that Democrats have blocked.

DD 214 Now Online for Veterans

The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) has provided the following website for veterans to gain access their DD-214 online: vetrecs.archives.gov. This may be particularly helpful when a veteran needs a copy of his DD-214 for employment purposes. NPRC is working to make it easier for veterans with computers and Internet access to obtain copies of documents from their military files. Military veterans and the next of kin of deceased former military members may now use a new online military personnel records system to request documents. Other individuals with a need for documents must still complete the Standard Form 180, which can be downloaded from the online web site. Because the requester will be asked to supply all information essential for NPRC to process the request, delays that normally occur when NPRC has to ask veterans for additional information will be minimized. The new web-based application was designed to provide better service on these requests by eliminating the records center's mailroom processing time.

VA and DoD Step Up Collaboration
VA and the Department of Defense (DoD) showed the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs recently long-sought progress in achieving a capability to fully share electronic patient records. Among top priorities for Committee Chairman Steve Buyer (R-Ind.) is the seamless transition of servicemembers from the defense health care system into VA. That requires the capability for the two medical systems to share "bi-directional" and interoperable electronic health care records in real time. Chairman Buyer has placed heavy emphasis on stepping up the pace of what has been lethargic collaboration.
VA Outreach Technicians Aid Veterans
About 100 veterans of the global war on terror were hired recently by VA's Readjustment Counseling Service to reach out to men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. These outreach specialists help steer returning veterans to vet centers for a variety of services, including benefit referrals, job assistance and counseling. Their presence in the community is critical to the vet center mission, according to Alfonso Batres, Ph.D., who oversees 207 vet centers nationwide. "Nothing can replace the immediate rapport generated by veterans with similar military experiences." Services at vet centers are also expanding to include the families of servicemembers killed on active duty..

They also play at other military events, including Veterans Day and Memorial Day observances. Participation in the organization is free, open to everyone able to play "Taps" with dignity and willing to volunteer their time. To find a bugler or volunteer your time to be one, visit the Bugles Across America Website.

Brother Of Honored Green Beret Says He Felt 'Pure Rage' Over Vandalism

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The family of a Green Beret who was one of the nation's first casualties in the war on terror in Afghanistan was outraged after discovering vandals had defaced a sign honoring the soldier with anti-war graffiti.

The words "oil," "Bush" and "Christian Crusade" and other phrases were written in black marker on the brown metal sign.

Russia Moved Saddam's WMD
"The short answer to the question of where the WMD Saddam bought from the Russians went was that they went to Syria and Lebanon," former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense John A. Shaw told an audience Saturday at a privately sponsored "Intelligence Summit" in Alexandria, Va.

"They were moved by Russian Spetsnaz (special forces) units out of uniform, that were specifically sent to Iraq to move the weaponry and eradicate any evidence of its existence," he said. article
